Low Country Boil Recipe


Description:
This is a fantastic recipe from the South. Boil this in a turkey fryer, and dump the pot of food out onto newspapers spread over a picnic table. Grab a paper plate and dig in!

Ingredients:
6 T. Old Bay or Cajun seasoning
3 lemons, cut in half
4 onions, peeled and quartered
5 pounds new potatoes, quartered
3 pounds cooked kielbasa sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces
8 ears fresh corn, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces
5 pounds crab, in pieces
4 pounds fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined

Instructions:
Heat a large pot of water (a turkey fryer outdoors is recommended). Add seasoning and lemons and bring to a boil. Add potatoes and onions and cook for 10 minutes. Add corn, crab, and sausage, cook for another 5 minutes. Add shrimp, cook 3-4 minutes.
Drain water from pot, pour out onto large platter and serve.
